Artem Vladimirovich Chigvintsev was born on June 12, 1982 at Izhevsk. He is a Russian-American professional dancer, specializing in Latin dancing. After moving to U.S., he began dancing with champion ballroom dancer Giselle Peacock in 2003.
Artem began his career in the entertainment industry as a choreographer for the second season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2006. He also danced with Nicole Scherzinger on the music video for ‘Hush Hush; Hush Hush’ by ‘The Pussycat Dolls’. He then featured as a professional dancer in dancing reality shows Strictly Come Dancing, followed by Dancing With The Stars. He has partnered with many celebrities like Patti LaBelle, Mischa Barton, Maureen McCormick, Nancy Kerrigan, Nikki Bella, Jamie Anderson and Danelle Umstead in Dancing With The Stars. In 2011, he was the lead choreographer in the CBeebies Christmas Pantomime, Cinderella. Artem was a choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance in 2011. He choreographed a dance form named Viennese Waltz to “She’s Always a Woman” by Billy Joel for Katie Love & Luke Jackson. He choreographed a dance form named Cha-Cha-Cha to “Judas” by Lady Gaga for Bethany Rose Harrison & Lee Bridgman. He choreographed a dance form Tango for the finale to the song “I’ve Seen That Face Before (Libertango)” by Grace Jones for Katie Love & Luke Jackson. He is the winner of Strictly Come Dancing – Season 8.

Artem tied the nuptial knot with his dance partner Giselle Peacock in 2004, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2005. He then dated Carrie Ann Inaba, one of the judges in Dancing With The Stars; however, their relationship ended in 2008. He then started dating Kara Tointon in 2010, but they too broke up in 2014. He then dated actress Torrey DeVitto in 2016, but they parted their ways in 2017. He is romantically involved with WWE wrestler Nikki Bella and the couple made their relationship official in 2019.
